Beadles’ top Toowoomba

Whether you live in Toowoomba or just come for a visit, it’s a city that enchants people. As Toowoomba interior designer’s we’re lucky enough to see the best of many aspects of it – our wonderful schools, heritage buildings and stately homes.

We thought we’d share what we love about the city of Toowoomba, whether you’re spending your time inside or out.

Empire Theatre

From a silent movie house to the largest regional theatre in Australia, the Empire Theatre is an impressive landmark and much-loved cultural facility of our city.

Take part in a community workshop or see regular music and theatre – coming up this month and next are Kate Miller Heidke, Michael Gow’s Away and Opera Queensland’s La boheme.

Cobb & Co Museum

Cobb & Co is part of the Queensland Museum network and is a great place to take the kids to explore wonders from Aboriginal culture to dinosaurs, Queensland history, ocean life and more. The dinosaur bones and fossils are always a hit.

Picnic Point

A favourite spot of ours to visit on a weekend or take guests when they’re in town, Picnic Point provides incredible views over the Lockyer Valley and a great spot for breakfast or lunch at the Picnic Point café.

Weis Restaurant

Now is the time of year for a cosy dinner by the fire and Weis restaurant on Margaret St is a great place for it. Another favourite dining spot of ours is Gip’s Restaurant at Clifford House, for a wonderful high tea.

Queens Park markets

The Queens Park craft bazaar operates every third Sunday of the month. Pick up local arts and crafts and soak up the atmosphere in one of Toowoomba’s most picturesque spots.

Carnival of Flowers

The annual Carnival of Flowers is coming up this September 19-28. Highlights include the Floral Parade on September 20 through the heart of the city, the Culture to Couture fashion showcase, the open gardens throughout the city, and Beadles has a special display planned for our showroom as well.

As always it’s the people that make a city, and it’s our family, friends and clients that truly make Toowoomba home.

Cheers,

Beadles
