Add LED strip lighting or soft, moody downlights to the overhead cupboards to really highlight your splashback.

Update the hardware

Handles are an easy way to update the kitchen without spending a lot of money or requiring a professional. Just ensure that you know the measurements between the existing handle holes. The last thing you want is more holes in the doors and drawers. And look further afield for a handle supplier, even check with a kitchen manufacturer for the latest handles available, don’t rely on just your local hardware store.
